Fine art photographer Fadi Fawaz

I take my camera with me everywhere I go. I often walk the streets seeking inspiration. When I see an interesting face or a person with a story to tell I take a photo. I don’t ask them what their story is, I just take their picture and keep going. My images represent life itself, rather than the individual people portrayed.

The portraits I have taken of people I know are representative of how I perceive them. They do not present them as they actually are but what I think about them. These images are very personal, from my own mind. Each one tells a story. I sometimes use effects to develop abstract interpretations of an image – to emphasise how I feel about a particular moment or subject.  These images represent the opposite of what we know, things that we can only imagine. Each one is open to multiple interpretation by the viewer, within the context of their personal experience.
